I have been focused on the self-transformational practice of yoga and meditation for over 20 years, motivated not so much for the benefits of getting into shape, but more for discovering how to be with myself. I had open-heart surgery at age Two and I developed food intolerance and allergies in my Twenties and for me learning how to be present in my body was my greatest challenge but this was also my main motivator to stay firm in my yoga practise.
My interest led me into many traditions of Yoga from around the world, from the Bihar School of Yoga, Tantra, Kundalini, Iyengar, Bikram and Astanga. More recently teaching BoxingYoga has helped me encompass a more physically demanding, a more alignment-based one that is informed by the subtler callings within my body.
From all of the study, exploration and life experience I’ve done my teaching these days is less directly connected to one single tradition, and is more informed by being present in class with what is happening for the individuals in the moment. Mostly, however, to me, yoga, is an intimate practice with one’s self. There isn’t just one way; the only truth we can find comes from within our self. I’ve experienced grief, loss, love, abuse, suffering, joy, peace and every spectrum in between, which keeps me humble and approachable. After years of being immersed in yoga, it has taught me to choose simplicity, to remain a beginner, to always be teachable and enjoy this mysterious ride.
From 2011-2013 I was fortunate enough to take a course for authentic living which covers the 4 strands of human potential, Body-mind, Expressive arts, Eco-social and Transpersonal. The course provided some gifted healers, psychics, medicine men/women and shamans from many different traditions around the world. Humanistic Alchemy was facilitated by Guy Gladstone and Amadis Cammell at the time-honoured Open Centre, UK.
The yoga classes I teach are largely informed by my training as a Body worker, Reiki Master and in Somatic counselling as well as other energetic modalities, that includes some shamanic training. My studies, yoga practice and motherhood have all shaped my present work and being highly intuitive has enabled me to develop my own style of teaching. In 2006 combining all that I had learned through various traditions I created a concept called Nature’s Rhythm Yoga.
In my free time I love to dance, long walks in nature, writing, and other exercise modalities like climbing. In addition to teaching yoga, I offer somatic counselling sessions that include my skills for body dialogue and breath work.

People often ask me how I got into Yoga, when did it all start?… It’s very difficult to pin point exactly when because as I recall, my spiritual life began when I was very young. I had open heart surgery at the age of two, and for as long as I can remember, I grew up feeling very grateful for each day of my life, for the love and support and close connections with my family and loved ones. I feel blessed to have had that experience at such a young age, that sent me on a quest to heal the trauma, and to shape my adult years into compassionate ones. As a young girl, I liked reading and being inspired by the lives of the saints and the mystics who directly experienced the divine. I wanted to understand what they already had, and I went into a deep process of excavating and searching from within – that search is now over.
Spiritual realisation, expressing my fullest potential and living with conscious intention are prominent in my life. I live and work in realms that investigate the structure of consciousness and experience, the subtle realms of presence, contact and relationship. In previous years, I was also drawn to study Advaita, non-dual wisdom and its application to the healing process.
I have had many teachers: life, my precious son, family, friends and professional therapists. I have been deeply influenced and I continue to be, by my teachers. Today, I appreciate, and with gratitude, bow to all the leading lights, those in human form, in and not in body, as well as those experiences of human life that have brought me here.
Andrea has been accredited as a Yoga Elder by the Independent Yoga Network and is listed on the Yoga register.
She completed a 3 year training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2003

Our body uses an inbuilt self-regulating and self-healing mechanism in order to survive which is constantly adjusting itself to the environment it is exposed to. The way balance is regained in our life is a completely unique process for each individual.
Each one of us is wired up to act in a certain way according to our innate qualities, our “blueprint” as well as the learned ways and habits that we grow accustomed to through our upbringing and personal experiences. Identifying what limits us in our life, give us the choice to change what is happening within it. This is a powerful way to reconnect with our intuition and with new insights, to understand the messages our bodies are constantly giving us, yet we often choose to put to one side.

How I work...
Always with confidentially, sensitively, using dialogue, movement, breath work, voice exercises, sound therapy and integral yoga to access the chakras, the sacred centres of the self. Astrology can also be used where further insight is required and the intrinsic connection of the body, mind, and soul are supported.
When we cultivate our heart wisdom and compassion, it brings amazing changes, the healing of past trauma and painful emotional states happen as we discover our essential true nature.
Often what we need is a space to listen to the messages received from our body, to feel our emotions, our heart and bodily messages and then we can directly experience life as it is, in the present, meeting ourselves in our own precious heart, no matter what is happening at any given moment. The un-raveling and de-programing of our conditioned mind patterns can offer a profound level of healing and reconnection.
What to expect...
We can all feel what is in our heart, and we do. What is often overlooked, are the subtleties of attention that is involved to activate the alchemy of the heart. Following our passion, allows us to navigate our way forward as self empowered and confident enriched creators of our own life, we can reach out towards our life with joy. I see this as an amazing gift of grace, a wave that continuously gives, endlessly.
The consultation and further sessions work with your body’s own wisdom and ancient knowledge. Any specific questions you may have can be looked into and any information shared remains strictly confidential. Where necessary you may also be advised for other areas of expertise. E.g. Dietary, herbal remedy’s, essential oils and so on, that can assist you to come to a balanced state. Subsequent contact time with me, will introduce you further into sacred silence meditation, resonance and the chakras, as well as on-going support in monitoring your progress for your overall wellbeing.
